This clip is from the sculptural installation, "This Distance". This installation was made for an exhibition on the effects of the Civil War on the domestic setting. The whole video shows a slow pan between the south and north sides of the Ohio River, at historic slave crossing points. 

I cast an 18" x 24" antique picture frame in 40 lbs of glass and covered the surface with salt. I projected this video onto the surface of the cast glass picture frame. This was exhibited in a small, darkened space built specifically for this piece, with the sound and video looped.
